Hush

Signal, as a real Mac app

Creator

What Hush does

Hush is a native Mac client for Signal, built to read and reply fast without the Electron app. A Rust core built on presage links to your phone as a secondary device, the way Signal Desktop does, and a SwiftUI and AppKit app on top follows macOS 26: native window, sidebar and toolbar, and Liquid Glass only on the floating layers. It covers what a daily client needs: groups with invitations, admins and join links, stickers, polls, stories, link previews, and the phone's wallpapers and chat colours. Chats back up to an encrypted file that restores on a new Mac, and a chat exports to a folder with a readable page and its files. Hush is unofficial and not affiliated with Signal.
